Born John Michael DiGiulio in Providence, Rhode Island, on February 8, 1969 to Henry and Jane DiGiulio. I started playing drums as soon as I could walk, banging on anything from pots and pans to boxes. Though my Mom tried to get me to play the guitar, all I was interested in was playing drums.

Shortly after entering the fifth grade, I soon signed up for school band, choosing the snare drum. I remained active in the school band my entire time through high school. I did study privately with my first teach named Tom Nimmo of Oasis Music in Johnston Rhode Island, then studying with several local teachers until going to Boston to study under the acclaimed Alan Dawson for three years. I was also very active at this time playing in several bands including The Dolls, The Marlowes, and Ken Lyon and the Tombstone Blues Band, to name a few.

Upon getting married in 1992 at the ripe old age of 22, I set my sights for the Big Apple. When I arrived I found myself jumping right in on the scene. Working with such acts as The Turtles, Gary U.S. Bonds, and #1 recording act Boycrazy. From there I was fortunate to do some touring with Kenny Loggins and grew to recording with such acts as The Psychedelic Furs and Natalie Merchant.

My current involvement with Little Anthony and the Imperials has by far been one of the most rewarding experiences of my musical career. Every time we set out to perform, audiences young and old appreciate these legendary performers. I am also grateful to be currently represented by attorney/agent Ronald S. Bienstock. When not performing with Anthony and the guys, I do still enjoy working with other such acts like The Tokens, Shirley Alston Reeves (former lead singer for the Shirelles), as well a doing subs for Broadway shows. I am also very active in the studio, recording everything from full length CDs to jingle spots.

Some of my other favorite things to do when not doing music is playing golf, whenever the opportunity arises. I also love to fly, so I find myself addicted to Flight Simulator on the computer, spending several hours flying aircraft ranging from a 747 to the Concorde, also from time to time taking in a good bombing mission. I do also love to travel, even when not traveling to the next gig. I like to explore places some only dream of, myself included. During the warmer months, I do love to get down to the ocean at least a couple times a year, even if it's hooking up with my friend and doing a little fishing off his boat in the NY Sound.

My hope for the future is to keep on playing drums and developing my skills to greater heights, thanks to Promark drumsticks and Smith Custom Drums. I hope to continue working myself up to a top notch in demand studio player and clinician and taking my producing/writing skills to the next level. I will continue enjoying my work with Little Anthony and the Imperials and looking forward to recording the next album with my fusion jazz group Collector, which we will be recording in South Africa this coming fall.
